The conference was organized as a part of 16 days campaign against Gender based violence. The general theme of the conference focused on the role of various contextual aspects such as culture, ethnicity, class or social background of gender based violence. Conference participants were university academics, independent scholars, graduate students, women NGO activists, policy makers working on issues of women and gender studies.
